Low-Income Seniors and Low-Income Disabled Persons Water Deferral Program Application

The Town of East Gwillimbury offers eligible property owners a water/sewer deferral program to assist homeowners with their water/wastewater bills. The amount that can be deferred is 50% of the fixed/delivery charges. This amount is transferred to the tax account and acts as a lien against the property until the time in which the home is sold or a change of title occurs.

The program is only available to the eligible owners of the home that:

1. receive water/sewer bill directly from the Town of East Gwillimbury
2. are registered owners of the property
3. have owned the home for the full year in which they are applying for relief
4. are receiving one of the following government supplements
    • Guaranteed Income Supplement under the Old Age Security Act
    • Ontario Disability Support program
    • Ontario Works Assistance

All parties registered on title must sign this form

This application is valid from January 1 to December 31 only and must be completed annually to qualify for the deferral.
